Ash Wednesday Mass 2014

This year Ash-Wednesday falls on 5 March 2014. The AICUFers as usual arranged the liturgy and sang choir for the day. There were more than 200 Josephites who came for the Holy Mass celebration in the college chapel. Fr. Clarence D'Souza SJ, Vice Principal of Humanities Block, was the main celebrant.

AICUF Day 2014

Mr. Dhananjaya H, Manager of St. Joseph's College PG canteen, known for his courtesy for serving his customers, was the chief guest of AICUF Day 2014 in Xavier Hall, on 26 February 2014. There were more 80 AICUFers. The chief guest delivered a speech and awarded the following AICUFers:

Thanksgiving Mass 2014

The thanksgiving Mass for the academic year 2013- 2014 was offered at the college chapel on 20 February 2014. Rev. Fr.  Lawrence D’Souza, director of St. John’s National Academy of Health Sciences was the main celebrant for the Mass. 

Fr. Praveen Martis, Fr. Sunith Prabhu, Fr. Louis D’Souza, Fr. Clarence D’Souza, Fr. Francis Arackal, Fr. Manoj D’Souza, Fr. Denzil Lobo and Fr. Pradeep Antony S J were the concelebrants. 

The All India Catholic University Federation (AICUF) students conducted the choir for the Eucharistic celebration and decorated the chapel. Brother Infant of III IES welcomed the gathering. Ms. Portia B Conrad of II M.A Political Science and Ms.Beena Thomas of III IES shared their experiences of their stay at this college. In his Homily, Fr. Lawrence D’Souza explained on five different areas where we ought to be grateful to God for. 

Prayer of the faithful was done by the AICUFers. Finally there was a special blessing for all the outgoing students, especially those who are writing their exams.Nearly 250 students participated in the Eucharistic celebration. The Eucharistic Celebration was followed by refreshments.
