Inter-Religious Dialogue & Social Case Study

Inter-Religious Dialogue & Social Case Study

Spreading the message of humanity and love, All India Catholic University Federation (AICUF), the student movement in St Joseph’s College, kicked off an out-reach programme on Friday. AICUF members visited a temple, church and mosque as part of a ‘religious exposure camp’ to foster social outreach, personality development and spiritual growth.
Mr Prashanth Kumar, an Ex-AICUFer, addressed members and spoke about how all religions are equal. He also said that individual perceptions of religions are created by narrow-minded stereotypes. He urged the members to have broader understanding of various religions, have a sense of respect and serve people of all faiths with dignity.
The AICUFers were divided into groups and were sent to places of worship of the Hindus, Muslims, Jain and Christians. Some of the AICUFers were also sent to have social case study on street vendors and ordinary people they met at the street. More than 130 AICUFers participated in this activity. It was on 8th August 2014.
