Dr.
Fr. Praveen Martis SJ, first Rector
of Arrupe Nivas, made a record by inaugurating the first Ignatian Week in the
history of 130 year old St. Joseph’s College. It was a week dedicated to St. Ignatius
of Loyola, the founder of the Jesuits. The theme of the week was “Forming
Men
and Women for Others”. The AICUFers came out with a musical band called
“The
Apostles” led by P V Peter, I M Sc. in Comp Science, and
rocked the entire college under the loving and cool shade of the banyan. They
played and sang famous gospel songs. The hearts of the audience were filled
with awe and appreciation for the beautiful music. As the music lingered on its
beauty and melody, food stalls were set up under the banyan tree. The food
items were prepared by the AICUFers. They were sold out like hot cakes.
