AICUFers' Visit to Old Age Home

It was on 1st December 2012, that 17 AICUFers marched to an old age home run by the Little Sisters of the Poor, Hosur road. Upon our arrival we were divided into different groups to do some humble works like cleaning the windows, doors, corridors, ironing clothes, washing flower pots, and helping the domestic staff at the kitchen. After our work, we got time to interact with the inmates.  The interaction with them increased our love for the elders and helped us to understand the challenges faced by them at their age. During their lunch hour, we served food and sang action songs for them. Our dance and music brought laughter and joy on their faces. Before we left, we washed their plates and cups, spoons and forks and cleaned the tables. Our visit did not end here; from that day onwards some of our AICUFers voluntarily pay regular visits and help the Sisters on every weekend.
